Now on to commenting on your serious post,

I definatly know what you mean. I think 'smart' love takes the form of this: loving someone completely with Christ's love, knowing that when (not if) you get hurt by that person it will be okay because it's not your love you loving them with anyway. It's all God. So you're not the one who's taking the blow, it's Him. You're not putting your faith and trust in that person, you are putting it in God. So when that person totally betrays your faith and trust you know that it's okay, because you weren't trusting that person not to hurt you, you were trusting Christ to make all things work together for His Glory. It's not about changing how you love that person, it's about changing how you channel your love for that person.

Make any sense? This is something I've had to learn first hand, so that's why I'm a little passionate about it :P And for good measure....
